FAQ’S
What if I miss a class?
If you are going to miss a class, please give us a 48 hour minimum advance notice so we can rebook the class or issue a make-up class credit. (This is not required for Untamed Fitness Classes) We waive the 48 hour requirement in the event of illness or emergency, but you must let us know the morning of the class. This allows us to open up a spot in class for another child to drop-in.
We do not issue a credit for a no-call, no-show.
What fees are there besides the membership fee?
All of our memberships are month to month. We have no sign up fee, annual fee or cancellation fee for memberships. If you need to cancel a membership, simply let us know at least one business day (M-F) before the membership is scheduled to bill. It really is that simple.
Do you offer Open Gym or Free Play for my kids?
We are a training facility and as such, we are class based. Since we are set up as a training facility and not a play zone, we only offer open gym for our students once they have proven their skills, listening ability and character by taking our Next Level Test. Students should not expect to pass the test without first attending classes.
What type of shoes do I need?
Closed toed shoes are required for all areas of the gym except the Preschool training area. (Ages 3-4) Preschool students wear grippy socks.
For Ninja and Parkour, the best shoes are running or Parkour shoes with a black rubber sole.
Trail running, or knobby shoes do not afford enough surface area to provide meaningful grip on the obstacles. A lot of shoe manufacturers are making white foam soles which tend to be very slippery on the obstacles.
Currently, the most popular Ninja shoe is the New Balance Zante, but they are increasingly difficult to find.
Please note that we do not allow cleats in the gym as they will damage our equipment.
How are you sanitizing the gym?
We pride ourselves on a clean gym
Hand held obstacles and bathrooms are sanitized between kid’s classes.
The entire gym is regularly sanitized with wipes and our electrostatic sprayer.

Can I film my kid in class?
Absolutely… and share it with all your friends. That is the main way we have grown.
Everything we do is out in the open. You are always welcome to observe any class or private lesson. You are always welcome to ask the coach’s questions between classes.
Is there a way for me to get a workout in while my kid trains?
Glad you asked! We have fitness classes in our Untamed Fitness section of the gym during most of our Kid’s classes. The class schedule is coordinated with the kid’s class schedule so that the whole family can get fit together.
How difficult is the Intro to Ninja Class for Adults?
The Intro to Ninja class is more about technique, fun and safety than it is about getting a workout. We won’t even do a single pull up or burpee!
You should be able to hang from a bar for at least 10 seconds before taking the Intro to Ninja Class. Beyond that, we work with all skill and strength levels and will make sure that you are appropriately challenged. Just remember- you are not in competition with anyone else in the class or the gym- we just want to see you do what you couldn’t do before.
It is a lot of fun, by the way.
We are from out of town and my kid is the most awesome ninja ever. Can they come to Open Gym without testing?
Quite possibly. Contact us so we can discuss the best option.
I want to bring in a group for a special event. Is that something you do?
Yes! Whether it be Girl Scouts, Youth Groups, Field Trips, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, Team Building Work Event - we can make it happen. Contact us to discuss options.
